Welcome to Stu's corner me 'ansomes, the perfect smugglers hideaway not far from the A30, Bodmin moor and the infamous Jamaica Inn - the home of Dick Penworthy the famous highwayman and his cat the Beast of Bodmin - some say his distant relatives still drink in the bar, and keep your eyes peeled fer 'is cat because 'ees huuge - a true beast, I know cos I seen im! Anyway me beauties back to Luxulyan, tis a beautiful little village nestled right 'ere in the centre of Kernow amongst the granite boulders. You will find all sorts; miners, smugglers, wreckers and of course the Luxulyan valley featured on TV, and some say, did have the deepest copper mine in all Kernow owned by Mr Treffry 'imself. While you're 'ere why not take a train ride to Newquay, my beauties as we 'ave our own station, stick yer hand out mind to make 'im stop. Visit some of our local ports like Polperro - a little smugglers port steeped in local history with its own museum. Fowey of course with all its fine eateries, frequent tall ships visiting and don't forget regatta week. There's Polkerris beach too with its inn on the sand, and then there's Charlestown me 'ansomes, often seen in the Poldark series re named as Truro quay. To top it all only a short hike or 10 minutes on your 'oss is the iconic World famous Eden Project home of the Domes and the acclaimed Eden music sessions and they'm bleddy loud cos we can 'ear em from 'ere. Luxulyan is also world known for 'Luxullianite' a very special rock cos tis pink and was used to make the Duke of Wellingtons coffin, so they say, and shipped out of Par, can't say for sure though cos I wasn't there. While you're stayin' 'ere we have a local pub serving good food, we have a well stocked shop and post office and not forgetting the pretty little church. There's plenty of parking for your 'oss and cart right next to mine and tis a beauty cos I bought it off Cap'n Poldark 'imself. So that's it me 'amsomes, look forward to seeing you all 'ere. This idyllic recently renovated fisherman's cottage has a large terrace and spectacular views out to sea. You couldn’t be any closer to the sea without getting wet! The timeless village has been the setting for many films and TV dramas including About Time, Poldark and the Wild West. The South West Coast Path is on your doorstep and St Mawes, Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Caerhays etc are all nearby. Alternatively pour yourself a glass of wine, relax and let the world turn a little!

Charlestown Harbour with many pubs and restaurants is a 20 minute walk along the cliff path or 5 minute drive away. Eden Project is a 10 minute drive away. The area is perfect for Paddle boarding, kayaking, open water swimming and snorkeling. Local groups welcome tourists to join in.

The carriage has a full sized double bed, ensuite shower and toilet, electric hob, fridge freezer and cosy log burner. Outside is a sun drenched decking and your own private log fired hot tub. Lit up in the evening with solar festoon lighting. There are beautiful local beaches , 15 minutes from the Eden project, 5 mins from the A30 taking you to Padstow, Newquay and other local attractions

Located in a quiet village connected to The Eden Project via walking / cycling trails, walking distance from Knightor Winery and with loads of scenic walks on the doorstep. We are handily located for the stunning beaches of St Austell Bay and a 30 minute drive from Newquay's surf beaches. The harbour village of Charlestown is three miles away and we are within easy reach of the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

Krowji means ‘cottage’ or ‘cabin’ in Cornish and is a timber-framed single-storey build next to our 300 year old cottage. A cosy, yet light and airy retreat for two, Krowji is located at the end of a private lane in Carlyon Bay, just a 20 minute walk from the bustling historic harbour of Charlestown. Krowji offers off-road parking and an enclosed outdoor courtyard with seating areas. * Please note, although at the end of a quiet lane, we are next to the main rail line.

Bootlace Cottage in Tywardreath

This special place is a converted cobbler's shop opposite a church in the heart of the historic village of Tywardreath, which boasts a wonderful pub and shop. Fowey, the Eden Project and Charlestown are all just a short drive away. This charming cottage is self-contained and is within walking distance to Par Beach and Par Station. The fully equipped kitchen contains everything you need and there is an outside terrace to enjoy your morning coffee and a sundowner.
