It’s located in a village called Karato Oka. You’ll find the Teshima Museum and rice terraces within a short walking. The guesthouse is a Japanese wooden house with only one room, so you can use privately. The room on the second floor has a slightly lower ceiling, giving it a cozy cabin or tea room feel. From the window, you can see old houses, mountains, and persimmon trees, with the morning light streaming in. Experience an extraordinary space and time.

Guests can enjoy ocean views from the terrace and relax in the jacuzzi and sauna. We provide information on nearby sightseeing spots, shopping areas, and restaurants. The villa is fully equipped with furniture and appliances, making it comfortable for both short and long stays.

Welcome to Wasyugama, a traditional Bizen pottery kiln guesthouse in the peaceful hills near Kurashiki, Okayama. Stay beside an active pottery workshop and experience the quiet charm of rural Japan. Most guests stay 2–3 nights, but longer stays are warmly welcomed. The house, hand-built with natural wood by my father and me, is a private rental with kitchen, bath, and beds for up to 5 guests.
