You have sole use of the whole field with al fresco dining area,barbecue, swings,table tennis and its own hens!

A beautifully restored 19th-century home with a private garden, blending period charm with modern comfort. Set in a peaceful and picturesque village, just a (very) short walk to two pubs and perfectly placed for Dartmoor and the South Devon coast. We are less than 2 miles to Shilstone House, the very popular wedding venue, which is just over the hill. Elegant, spacious, and designed for relaxed, memorable stays, whether as a family, a couple or a group of friends, with/without a dog!

Shuttaford - Modern Rustic Barn in Dartmoor Valley

Shuttaford Barn is a recently converted barn on a 16thC Dartmoor farmstead on the edge of the moors next to Holne and Ashburton. It is the perfect spot to explore the wilds of Dartmoor National Park, walk along the beautiful River Dart or head to the many South Devon beaches for the day. Or just relax in the peaceful surroundings of the barn and its garden. In summer months we generally do Friday to Friday bookings. Please message us if you would like to book alternative days.

Ruby Retreat is a unique Shepherd's Hut hand built in larch, cedar and ash by local carpenter, Peter Milner. His skilled design and craftsmanship gives Ruby a very special feeling. She is brand new for 2023. She sits in her own secluded position on a working Devon farm. The views over the glorious Devon hills are truly captivating. There is nothing to distract you from gazing at the fields, hills, woodland and distant church spire (well, maybe some sheep and lambs frolicking).

Fox Cottage (Formerly Roundhouse)

Fox Cottage (Formerly Roundhouse) at White Oxen Manor, retains many original features including owl slit windows and exposed beams and offers very comfortable and spacious accommodation personally maintained by the owners.  White Oxen Manor is an ancient listed Devon Longhouse standing in its own grounds, and this delightful cottage has been converted from a 17th Century barn situated in the courtyard of the Manor.
