This wooden cabin has a vaulted wooden ceiling and bamboo floors. Camp Creek flows past the deck to the Siuslaw River. Beautiful tranquil forest vistas are there to inspire you to write your novel. Inside amenities are brand new, including a Wi-fI dishwasher, oven, washer and dryer, microwave, wall-mounted swivel TV, and a ductless heat pump. This cozy special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. Just a short drive and you can be in Old Town Florence, at the casino, (2) golf courses and various beach selections. The Purple House is in a residential community so generally a quiet stay. The house stands out in a crowd and is easy to find. Off street, designated, parking!! (There is additional parking on the street if needed.) The apartment sleeps (4) but space is most comfortable for (2) guests.

This getaway is your ideal launch point for hiking, biking, day trips to the beach (15 minute drive) or simply a spot to enjoy the day away from the pesky winds and chilling fog of the coast.

We are located 2 miles from the entrance to the Mary's Peak recreation area, the highest spot in the coast range. During winter, there is usually access to snow, only a 15 minute drive from our cabin to the top of Mary's Peak. Alsea Falls is a 25 minute drive. The coastal town of Waldport is a 45 minute drive, Oregon State University is a 20 minute drive away, and University of Oregon is 1 hour south of us. Cabin is on our private property where we live as well.

Views of the Siuslaw River, coastal mountains on both sides. Two bedrooms and bath on the main floor, finished attic, two living areas, and basement. There are two houses on this property and another cabin next door. All are independent free-standing houses and can be rented together or separately. The house was built in the 50's and still has a "cabin" feel. Cozy and spacious for a family.
