Háafell Lodge

Welcome to Háafell Farm where we raise sheep, keep horses and have one friendly dog. Our private guest house is located 200 meters above the farm, up the mountain at 130 meters above sea level. It is a recently built (2020), 100 square meter, modern “turf house style” house. Háafell means “The High Mountain” and has a long river that cascades down its side with several tiers of waterfalls. It is a five minute walk to our canyon and it is possible to take a cold bath in one of the waterfalls.

The cottages at Thurranes are 43 square meters. Two bedrooms, each with a double bed and a sleeping loft that fits 2 adults. The house can accommodate 6 adults. Bed linen and towels are included in the price. The house is equipped with a kitchen, where you find a little stove, a sink, a microwave and refrigerator.
