The house offers 2 living areas, spacious kitchen\dining room, 3 beds, 2 bath. Kick back and relax in this calm, cosy space in the rolling countryside and just a 40 minute drive from Knock Airport. For something more lively there’s Westport and Castlebar, with their shops, bars and the beautiful coastline and beaches of the Wild Atlantic Way. The 2 friendly cats, Muffin and Bruce, prefer to live outside but like to say hello. When not away working, I stay in a chalet on a separate piece of land close by but not overlooking the cottage. I do respect guest privacy.

After bathing in the hot tub make your way up the external staircase to the balcony (which connects to the bedroom), where you can relax in the hammock and take in the amazing views.

In the year 0f 1898, this lovely cottage was built to be the Teachers residence to the local School. Throughout the years it has been a very happy home to all who lived here. It is set in large gardens . Perfectly peaceful, with access to quiet walks. Sitting out listening to the resident owl, or the early morning bird song, magic. We are a few miles from the beautiful Lough Carra, and within a half hour of Cong, Lough Mask , Lough Corrib, the gateway to Connemara. Come enjoy the peace.
