Broughton in Furness, a superb base to explore the English Lakes, with stunning mountain scenery and beautiful coastline. Windermere and Ambleside are within an hour's drive, Coniston less than half an hour.

Very peaceful here no road noise lots of bird song, cosy up and enjoy the panoramic view. Very close to town centre it has own entrance with a key safe, so arrival time can be totally flexible, and there is private parking. We use a Professional cleaning service to ensure the place sparkles. Much better than a hotel room!

The Old Wash House at Syke End

Sitting in the South-West corner of the Lake District National Park, The Old Wash House is the perfect base for exploring the surrounding mountains and lakes as well as Cumbria's South and West coasts. The Hayloft - a cottage on our Lake District farm

Completed in July 2020, The Hayloft is one of 3 cottages in our old stone barn near Ullswater lake in the Lake District. Bedroom one has a double bed and en suite shower, toilet and basin. Bedroom 2 can be made up as a double bed or two single beds. We can provide an extra small bed in here for a young child up to about age 7.
