Here, every room is a feast: French door balconies overlook this quaint village, and a hand-painted mural wraps around the dining room. Castelo de Santiago do Cacem is on top of the village hill. Bordering the village are ruins of what once was a sizeable Roman city. Museo Municipal de Santiago do Cacem is in an old jail. Tucked away from the main house, it offers a quiet, intimate setting with a secluded terrace that wraps around the house and looks out over the Atlantic. The apartment has a clean, minimal interior, balancing traditional character with a contemporary coastal feel. Our favorite spot: the hammock on the terrace!
