A House on the Hill: Highfield farm cottage (4+1)

Highfield cottage is a stone-built house on a hill at Hillhouse Farm Escapes in the Scottish Borders. This old shepherd's house is renovated to a modern & cosy standard. It has a superb kitchen with range cooker and large dining table, a huge lounge and two generous bedrooms (one is en-suite). Best of all is the stunning rural location with incredible views. It's an easy one-mile walk to a pub. Dog friendly. The house next door, a Little House on the Hill (Herniecleugh), is also available.

Pittenweem boasts the last working fishing harbour in the East Neuk with it's famous 117 mile long coastal path passing right through the village . Dog friendly restaurants , cafes, pubs and art galleries all on our doorstep. Lovely long beaches in St Andrews and Elie only short drive away. The Puffin Burrow, North Berwick Beachside

The Puffin Burrow is a lovely self-contained apartment on the ground floor of this magnificent Georgian House. It has 2 double bedrooms, one of which is a twin and the other set up as king size but can be made into another twin on request. The modern bathroom is fully tiled with a bath and shower and there is another separate loo. The open plan modern kitchen and sitting room are complete with wood-burning stove and have views of the sea including the Bass Rock and Craigleith Island.
