A tranquil country escape a short distance from the infamous Mourne Mountains. It has a large garden which is ideal for relaxing in the sun and a patio for socialising in the country air. This is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near Strangford - enjoy water sports (especially swimming), walking, cycling, bird watching, relaxing and much more in our cosy one-bedroom home. Certified by Tourism NI, all our rooms (except the bathroom!) have spectacular sea views. Restaurants only a short drive away with mountains, golf courses, nature reserves and much more within easy reach.

Lizzie's cottage nestles in the foothills of the Mourne Mountains close to Slieve Croob. This 150 yr old cottage has been restored bringing its facilities into the 21st century but still possessing some of those original features of a time gone by. Lizzie's cottage is adjacent to a family home complete with its own parking, jacuzzi and bbq facilities. The cottage offers spectacular views of Slieve Donard and is close to Castlewellan and Newcastle as well as 40minutes from Belfast.

Only 5 minutes walk is the village of Kircubbin, where there are pubs, restaurants and a supermarket. With the water so close, wake up to the sounds, views & smell of the sea.
