There is a village shop, two cafes, and three excellent pubs, all within 5 minutes walk of the cottage Surrounding the village is some of the best hillwalking you will find anywhere! The famous Coledale horseshoe ridge walk starts and finishes in the village. The popular mountain biking trail centre at Whinlatter Forrest is less than 2 miles from the cottage.

Stybarrow is one of four apartments based at Low Nest Farm. Named after a peak that can be viewed from the window, here you can enjoy the best of the views down the valley.
