Escape to our secluded cabin on our 6,000-acre ranch in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Whether you’re here to unwind or explore, guests can enjoy access to three private lakes (bring your own kayak/paddleboard) and miles of rugged ranch trails, perfect for hiking and riding. Our property offers a true backcountry experience, so please know that while our trails are maintained, guests should expect natural terrain and a more rugged experience than what you would experience at a state park.

Located between Concan and Leakey, you're just a short drive away from the Frio River (2 min), Garner State Park (5 min), and Lost Maples State Natural Area (30 min). You'll be on private property so you can relax in the cozy nostalgic charm of the cabin or go outside to see the historic Rio Frio Landmark Oak, enjoy the spacious yard for games and fun, or stargaze in our open skies at the fire pit!

Stay at one of our 6 cabins, tiny house, or 3 bedroom guesthouse. Private River Access, almost 8 acres of wildlife, starry skies, and getting away from it all. Spend the day on the pristine Upper Nueces River, shopping locally in Camp Wood and Leakey, or use us as your base camp for adventure to close by Garner State Park, Lost Maples State Park, Nueces and Frio Rivers, or Devil's Sinkhole in Rocksprings. Get away from the hustle and relax by the fire, birdwatch, nap. The day is yours.

FoxFire Log Cabin

Get back to the basics in a peaceful cozy cabin at FoxFire in Vanderpool. Enjoy reconnecting with nature with a walk or swim in the Sabinal River, hike at Lost Maples Park, birdwatching, or enjoying the stars and a campfire at night! 2 Bedroom 1 bath fully furnished comfy cabins. No Tvs or Microwave but WiFi, campfire ring, BBQ grill full kitchen/bath with outdoor picnic area. The grounds also have a playground, basketball goal, volleyball net, and river access. Family and pet friendly!

Amadeo at the Frio Private getaway with pool & spa

"Amadeo" is a secluded 9 acre get away on Saddle Mountain all to yourself, not shared. 2 cabins with 2 full baths & glorified outhouse/shower by salt water pool & spa. Outdoor lounging, covered dining areas, game area, star gazing by the fire pit. We are located 1 mile from river crossing, 5 mins from town, 10 mins from Garner. Beautiful sunsets and view of the hills, also hiking. Each cabin has queen bed, full loft, full futon couch, covered porches. We also love our guests’ fur babies!

Kat's Kabin (a birding paradise) is a countryside stay nestled in the hill country near Utopia, Texas between Garner State Park and Lost Maples State Natural Area. You are invited to hike and explore over 500 acres of our 1000 acre Four Sisters Ranch and enjoy the great outdoors away from civilization, traffic and city lights. The Frio and Sabinal Rivers are but a short distance away. The seclusion and privacy make for the perfect romantic getaway or bring the kids to enjoy the ranch

Texas Wheelhouse

Whether planning a peaceful escape from the city or a riding vacation along the Twisted Sisters Hwy, the Texas Wheelhouse is a perfect getaway for your group. The 2-bedroom/2-bath cabin, with a 1-bedroom bunk house. The property is at the top of a ridge overlooking the breathtaking Texas Hill Country. Located along Hwy 336, one of the most scenic rides in Texas, the Texas Wheelhouse is a short drive to Garner State Park, Lost Pines Park, and several places to go tubing on the Frio River.

A quiet family friendly getaway perfect to unwind, relax, bird watch and disconnect from everyday life. Wi-fi is not available. Sleeps up to six people. Bottom level has a full size bed, full bath, fully stocked kitchen,stove, full size refrigerator, coffee bar, screened in porch. One bathroom inside and half bath outside. Located 16 miles N. of Uvalde, bumpy entrance road is 1.2 miles N. of Chalk Bluff. Park. The cabin is 1/4 mile, walking distance to the clear, beautiful Nueces River.

Wild Oak Ranch Riverfront Cabin

Rustic cabin on over 10 acres with the wet weather Sabinal River (contact us for water levels if this is a concern) along the back surrounded by beautiful oak amd cypress trees. A natural playscape, porch swings, grill, wildlife, all the perfect makings for a fantastic getaway. Just a one minute drive to Utopia but also great proximity to Garner State Park and Lost Maples State Natural Area for great hiking, swimming, etc. Great location to enjoy all the Texas Hill Country has to offer.

Affectionately named after a Texas owl, “Barn” is adoringly appointed with modern comforts, granting gracious views of hills and valleys. The exterior is a nod to a traditional barn while the interior features the soft, warm colors. Enjoy soft creature comforts in a rugged expanse. Staying at Barn is truly a unique experience that offers everything needed to rest, relax and renew.

PJ's Hideaway

This peaceful cabin is centrally located in the Texas Hill Country, close to Garner State Park, Lost Maples State Park and Hill Country State Natural Area. Drive through the Hill Country on the Twisted Sisters, enjoying the beautiful scenery and wildlife. Close by, you can enjoy floating or swimming in the Frio River and the Sabinal River at the Utopia Park. Utopia has a renowned golf course featured in the movie Seven Days in Utopia. Concan 20 miles away also has a golf course.

The Cozy Cabin @ Whiskey Mountain Great Location!

My place is close to family-friendly activities, Garner state park (3 miles), Lost Maples state park, Frio river crossings, Leakey, Concan, Utopia, Kerrville, Uvalde, three sisters bike roads. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets), Pets are an additional $15 per pet, per night. Pets Fees billed after you book, b/c there is no option on Airbnb. The Cozy is located towards the front of our 17 acres about 75 ft from Hwy 83.
