The Tropical Flower Lodge sits at the foothills of Mt Bartle Frere, surrounded by lush rainforest and vibrant tropical gardens. Our property is also a working flower farm, home to a wide variety of Heliconias and Gingers. The lodge is completely self‑sustaining. Fresh spring water flows though the property a gravity‑fed system, our on‑site waterfall generates clean hydroelectric power. Guests often tell us it feels like staying in a hidden, eco‑friendly sanctuary where nature does all the work.

Location! Location! Location! This quirky but cute 1970's 4 bdrm, fully a/c'd home, boasts ABSOLUTE water frontage of Lake Tinaroo, making it perfect for all water activities. Water ski, jet ski, canoe, kayak, paddle board or fish directly from the back yard. If bird watching is more your style, sit back and enjoy the array of wildlife the property attracts or do you just need a little less stress in your life, then the tranquility of Lakeside Escape is the place for you to relax and unwind.

Conveniently located 40 min. to Cairn’s airport, 10 min. to Kuranda and close proximity to the Davies Creek mountain bike park. Access to a private stretch of the Clohesy River is available for the more adventurous!

This simple hut nestled into the rainforest is a birdwatcher's paradise! The property is entirely off-grid and is situated in a wildlife hotspot, with 100 acres of wet tropics rainforest connected to the World Heritage listed Maalan National Park. An ideal base for nature lovers to explore the Atherton Tableland, the bird list includes over 200 species, including Victoria's Riflebird, Blue-faced Parrot finch. Mammals include Tree kangaroos and Herbert River and Green Ringtail Possums.

Usnea, our Nature, Art and Accommodation Space, is situated on the Evelyn Tablelands, Tropical North Qld. Here a discrete self-contained one bedroom cottage in upland rainforest is surrounded by natural and established gardens, and at 1,160m provides a cool summer and cosy winter retreat. Uniquely the cottage integrates art within and outside. Contemplation, inspiration, privacy and comfort, are all to be experienced, along with exploring our forest and local environmental features.

The Lake House

Wake to sunrise over the lake in this secluded tropical retreat. Beautifully designed modern Balinese-inspired house with marble tiled flooring throughout, carved wooden doors and volcanic rock walls, a unique tropical oasis in a truly unique setting. Lake views from every room of the house, effortless indoor-outdoor flow, lush tropical gardens brimming with wildlife. Set on 40 Private acres, "The Birdsnest" is our modern air-cond smaller cabin. It is open plan living/bedroom with q/size bed and sofa that converts to double bed for extra guests. Seperate bathroom and undercover large deck with stunning rural views. Private river safe swimming hole. Free wifi, flat screen TV. We do have 2 other cabins on the property to accommodate larger families or groups. 7mins from Paronella Park. Due to Covid 19 we are no longer providing breakfast.
