This is a great stopover for people flying from East Midlands airport as it's a mere 10 minute drive, the M1 and M42 motorways can be reached in minutes, it's a central location for cities such as Nottingham, Leicester, Derby and Birmingham, also close to Loughborough which is a great for visiting students. Cyclists can step out of the front door onto the NCN 6 route which leads onto the cloud trail which goes all the way to Derby. Walkers will be spoilt for choice only being minutes away from the famous Bradgate Park, Calke Abbey and Staunton Harold.

Just a few minutes drive from Bradgate Park, NT Stonewell, Richard iii Visitors Centre and the historic town of Ashby de la Zouch with its boutique shops, bars and restaurants. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers as it has great road (M1/M42) and airport (EMA 15mins drive) access.A beautiful rural escape with everything you need for a truly memorable holiday.

Situated in a quiet location with great views of the local countryside, the converted stables at 2 Shelton Cottage have been tastefully decorated and furnished to ensure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. The property is self contained and we are next door to help if required. Centrally located between Derby, Nottingham and Leicester, and only 3 miles from the lovely town of Ashby de la Zouch it is a perfect for visiting friends and family, work or just for a short break.

The Granary

The Granary is a self contained studio room within the grounds of our house. It's completely self contained, with a private entrance, en suite shower room, and off road parking. There is also a fridge and a microwave, a two burner electric hob, (but please note no oven or washing machine), dining table and chairs, crockery, glasses etc, TV and DVD player. We leave a selection of cereals, bread, milk, juice in the fridge for guests to help themselves to continental breakfast.

Just leave the house and a short walk takes you directly into the forest where you will find numerous trails where you can discover nature at its best. Close to the M1 and M42 making for easy access to the peak district and Alton Towers(1hour) and Bardon hill, Sence park, Thornton Resevoir, Market bosworth and conkers, are all nearby

Our cosy Farmhouse Annex provides the perfect country escape for couples, solo travellers, family with a baby or pet parents! The self contained annex is equipped with everything you might need to stay comfortably for a night or longer. Make the most of our outdoor space including garden dome, hot tub and one acre pet friendly garden. Afternoon tea now available to greet you on arrival, just ask us for our menu when you book.

Outside you can relax, enjoy Al fresco dining, barbecuing and even a dip in the hot tub!

You will drive off the quiet country road, up the farm track and arrive at Top House Farm where your Shepherds Hut, Hot Tub and BBQ Hut are awaiting. The recently upgraded Shepherds Hut contains a king sized bed, Kitchenette, Dining Area and En-suite Shower Room. The Hot Tub is ready for you on arrival and the BBQ Hut is the best place to settle down for the night around the fire.
