The backyard includes a firepit, grill and picnic table, all perfect for outdoor entertaining. During the cooler days, enjoy cozying up to the indoor fireplace.

Pull the plug at this unique and tranquil getaway that we call "Elysium Heritage Farm". Experience groomed trails, ponds, canals & marshes on our 120 acres of woods & wetlands. View multitudes of "flora and fauna" along with the fainting goats, chickens, rabbits & other critters of "The Farm". Go for a canoe or kayak trip. The cabin has NO ELECTRICITY OR RUNNING WATER but solar lighting illuminates nicely and there are convenient private showers available offsite. Potable water provided.

Our cabin in the woods is a quiet refuge, not a party place. Built with many unique features: log cabin room with vaulted ceiling, log walls in kitchenette/upstairs small dinette seating area and log wall in sunroom. Carriage style Barn doors, from grandparents old chicken coop. The metal stair railing designed & laser cut with pine trees. Downstairs walkout basement has concrete log beams & posts, as well as some concrete tree branches. Trails are for quiet travel only, no motors.

Short drive to Downtown Port Austin. Walk-able to Pointe aux Barques lighthouse. Swim, kayak, play in the huge yard, watch the freighters pass from the patio, or curl up with a book in the shaded outdoor sitting area. There is a lakeside bonfire pit for incredible star gazing & s'mores.
