I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. It is easy to reach Namba, Umeda by subway, KIX and Koyasan by Nankai Railway. The 7-11 convenience store is one minute away. The Sento public bath is also very close to my house.

[Tabitabi Shinsen] is a traditional two-storey machiya , which was built in the Taisho era with more than one hundred years history. The name Shinsen comes from one of the oldest famous courtyard in Kyoto during Heian Period, "Shinsenen", which is located near our house. Here, you can experience the original and traditional Japan and the ingenuity of combining modern elements with traditional craftsmanship.

This house was built more than 100 years ago (survived WW2 and some great earthquakes), and was renovated recently. It is located just 1min away from Hiroo subway station (Hibiya-line). Hiroo is one of most popular residential neighborhood in Tokyo. There are many restaurants and shops in Hiroo and it is very easy to access to Ebisu, Roppongi (3min by subway), Shibuya and Omote-sando (within 3km).

We are located in Kawaramachi near downtown and convenient for public transit, just 10 min from JR Kyoto Station by taxi, 6 min walking distance from the Kawaramachi subway station, and easy access to the shopping and areas. There is very quiet surrounded by hotels and residences, yet convenient reach of bus routes to other landmarks in Kyoto.
