We are located just three minutes from Sweet Briar College, 20 minutes from Liberty University, and 20 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Close to restaurants and downtown Amherst. Nelson lake has a boat ramp and public fishing just 5 miles away.

Charming Renovated 1930's Soapstone Workers' Bungalow Relaxing, peaceful getaway in gorgeous Nelson County. Adjacent to a large hay field which leads down to a private branch of the Rucker's Run with excellent fishing. The cottage is at the end of a quiet country lane with few nearby houses. The newly renovated home was initially built to house workers from a soapstone quarry located on the property. During the remodel, we even found rationing coupons from 1945 hidden in the walls!
