18th Century Country Cottage on a working farm

The Old Smithy was the original farm house built in the 18th Century. Completely renovated from derelict in 2002 and freshly redecorated in 2021, it boasts many of its original features; including the old fire range which will keep you warm on those winter nights (an initial basket of logs is F.O.C.) Downstairs, sandstone flag floors and oak beamed ceilings are throughout. A biomass boiler heats the cottage with timber sourced from the farm. Includes laundry, towels, heating and electricity.

A traditional sandstone barn conversion, with a sheltered garden in the beautiful village of Temple Sowerby. Located in the Eden Valley you will be well placed for trips to the Lakes or the Dales. In the village there is a local pub offering 'Day Fishing Licences' on the local river, a church and 'The House at Temple Sowerby' if you prefer some 'Fine Dining'. Mini Murton House is a converted dog friendly barn situated in the peaceful village of Murton. There is a Finnish wood burning hot tub on your own private south facing patio. The barn retains many original features, with exposed beams and large barn door. Cosy wood burning stove, fitted kitchen, 2 bedrooms (1 mezzanine level). We are trying to be as environmentally friendly as possible: The Mini Murton House toilet has been twinned, we have 4 recycling bins and a composter.

Accommodation provided in delightful character house in Morland near Penrith. The Eden Valley is a charming unspolit part of Cumbria but only 20 minutes from Ullswater. Private annexe, with separate entrance, small kitchen, sitting room with TV. Downstairs toilet. Private outside patio with table and chairs. Facilities to cook simple meals. Tea, coffee and milk provided. It is important to note the bedroom is en-suite but with access through the main house.
