The Gateway-Getaway is only about three miles from Mount Desert Island (MDI) where you will find Acadia National Park & Bar Harbor. The apartment is perfect for 1-2 people. You will stay in an efficiency apartment above our detached garage which is in a quiet location (although occasionally our dogs bark when outside). Outside table and chairs surrounded by trees, birds and gardens in a quiet, safe neighborhood at the end of a short dirt road. Enjoy total privacy or ask your hosts for local knowledge. All one room, with kitchenette, queen bed, futon couch, and fold out single bed.

The apartment offers a private entrance, small balcony overlooking our garden, free off street parking, a full bath, plenty of closet space all in a peaceful inviting, quiet, and roomy studio. Walking distance to all that Bangor has to offer including Waterfront Pavilion, Stephen King's house, wonderful pubs and restaurants.
